ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Chris Pecoraro has more than 20 years of commercial real estate finance experience. He specializes in sourcing, underwriting, financing and managing commercial real estate investments.

Prior to founding SafePort Capital, Mr. Pecoraro served as Director of Capital markets for Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation, responsible for securing commercial debt and equity financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office and industrial, retail, seniors housing and hospitality. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Petroleum Capital Management LLC and Vice President of loan origination for GMAC Commercial Mortgage.

He is highly regarded by national, regional and local funding sources including, but not limited to, agency lenders (e.g. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and bridge lenders.

Mr. Pecoraro holds an M.B.A and a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of Southern California. He is also a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
